Watercoloured, a journal of arts and cultural enquiry based in Nelson, was launched in September 2014. Featuring reviews, essays, poetry, art projects and political commentary, Watercoloured exists to promote and encourage cultural conversation and debate. Locally-focused but with an eye on the horizon, Watercoloured is intent on skimming stones across Nelson’s still waters.
Watercoloured, which is an Arts Council Nelson initiative, is published with assistance from a Creative Communities Scheme grant and is edited and produced by Nicholas Haig.
Watercoloured is available from galleries, libraries, cafes and bookstores in the Nelson and Tasman regions. Current and previous issues can also be downloaded from the Journal page.
Published quarterly, Watercoloured encourages submissions. For essay or project proposal pitches please email firstname.lastname@example.org
